Why do I need a prescription?
While orofacial myofunctional therapy works to re-pattern and correct muscle function, therapists work with allied medical and dental professionals to achieve the most optimal outcome when addressing conditions often associated with orofacial myofunctional disorders.
Where can I get a prescription?
Can a child do it?
Yes, both children and adults can benefit from orofacial myofunctional therapy. Based on our extensive experience, we recommend OMBRE for individuals 6 years old and older.

Can I use health insurance to cover the cost of my OMBRE treatment?

Why do I have to do the exercises daily? What happens if I skip a day or two?
The OMBRE program is designed re-pattern neurological functions and improve muscle function, this requires exercises that should be performed daily, and for some exercises, multiple times a day. The more effort you put into this program, the faster you will look and feel better. Skipping a day or two will not have a significant negative response, but will delay your progress.
What happens if I miss a therapy session?
Missed therapy sessions will count as a used session. In addition, your progress will not move forward, as you will not receive your next set of exercises. We recommend that you schedule a make up session as soon as possible to ensure progress with your OMBRE program.
What happens if I need to reschedule a session?
No problem, simply log-in your thera-LINK account to re-schedule. Please remember that there is a 24 hour cancellation window.
Can I get a refund if I stop the program part way through?
No. We will bill your credit card according to the payment plan you selected.
How long does my membership last?
One year. After a year, if you would like to retain access to our video library, you will need to purchase a one-year renewal.
When do I get my toolkit?
Your OMBRE toolkit will be mailed to the address you provided. You should receive it within 7 business days.
What if I loose a piece of the toolkit?
Additional parts may be purchased from the OMBRE store, you’ll find a link on your dashboard when you log-in to your OMBRE account.

What is OMT (Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy)?
Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy is neurological re-education exercises to assist the normalization of the developing, or developed, craniofacial structures and function. For more information, see here.
How is Orofacial Myofunctional Disorder (OMD) diagnosed?
OMD is often diagnosed by a variety of professionals, including dentists, orthodontists, physicians, and orofacial myofunctional therapists (including speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and allied professionals).
Who can provide Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy?
Licensed professionals from dental hygiene, dentistry, speech pathology, occupational therapy, and other allied health professions with advanced education and training in orofacial myofunctional therapy provide OMT. At OMBRE, we ensure that all of our therapists have the proper background, and knowledge of OMT and have been trained on our proprietary treatment plans.
How do I know if I have a tongue-tie?
Tongue-tie is a popular term used to characterize a common condition that often goes undetected. It occurs during pregnancy when a small portion of tissue that should disappear during the infant’s development remains at the bottom of the tongue, restricting its movement.

How do I become a preferred provider of OMBRE?
Dentists, Orthodontists, Physicians and other allied professionals can become preferred providers. In order to be listed on our website, and receive the proper materials, you can sign up here.

Licensed professionals from dentistry, dental hygiene, speech pathology, occupational therapy, and other allied health professions with advanced education and training in orofacial myofunctional therapy can provide OMT. At OMBRE, we ensure that all of our therapists have the proper licensure, background, knowledge of OMT, and have been trained on our proprietary treatment plans.
